Tim Watson-Munro is an Australian Criminal Psychologist, with 42 years experience in the field. He was formerly the National Chairperson of the College of Forensics Psychologists of the Australian Psychological Society. In addition, he has held a number of academic positions, including Visiting Fellow at the University of Melbourne and Adjunct Visiting Professor at Bond University.
He has been a consultant to various Governments in Australia regarding criminal psychology and has lectured both within Australia and overseas. He has assessed in excess of 25,000 individuals before the Court and has provided viva voce evidence in all jurisdictions of Australia.
Tim is the author of two bestselling books, Dancing with Demons, which is his biographical memoir and A Shrink in the Clink. Both works were published by Pan Macmillan Australia. He is currently writing a third book concerning domestic violence, which is due to be published in 2021. Tim has contributed to and been cited in a number of other books and academic papers.
As a consequence of his first job as the Resident Psychologist at Her Majesty’s Prison Parramatta in Sydney, he has developed a strong interest in dealing with individuals in confinement, which has been augmented by the global confinement which we are all experiencing in the present, as a result of the COVID-19 disease.
