As a chaplain, writer, and emerging film director, she leads advocacy at the intersection of human care and institutional reform. With a distinguished background in crisis communications and having worked with world-leading brands across multiple complex issues, Kathie specializes in embedding cultures of care across complex sectors, particularly in health and social systems.
Her pioneering work focuses on moral injury, systems intersectionality, and amplifying vulnerable populations' voices. Through GIDII Advocacy and her upcoming documentary series 'Shattered', Kathie transforms personal experiences into powerful narratives of healing and empowerment.
Acclaimed for her impactful communication, Kathie has been recognized with prestigious awards including the United Nations Award for communicating priority issues and multiple Portfolio Awards for her professional achievements.
A multifaceted professional, she brings deep expertise in workers' compensation, healthcare advocacy, and strategic communication, consistently challenging broken systems to create meaningful, compassionate change.
During COVID Kathie advocated strongly and with a compelling personal story for Aged Care Workers to be vaccinated at a time when lockdowns isolated entirely our aged vulnerable population. She appeared regularly on the media sharing an emotive and compelling argument.
