Nominate For 2019 Mental Health Matters Awards



WOW Chaplaincy is thrilled to join the Judging panel for 2019 The Mental Health Matters Awards which recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals, groups and organisations that have worked to improve understanding, awareness, service provision and the general mental health of communities in NSW over the past year (2018 — 2019).


The Mental Health Matters Awards are NSW’s premiere awards celebrating excellence in mental health programs, promotion, and advocacy.


The winner of each award category will receive $1000, an engraved award plaquette, and a specially created promotional video. Entries close June 7, 2019 - you can nominate in one of the following categories:



Brand new awards in 2019

This includes the ACON-sponsored Mental Health Matters Award Rainbow Inclusion Award – Recognising mental health related programs, projects or initiatives that demonstrate commitment to the mental health and wellbeing of sex, sexuality, and/or gender diverse (LGBTIQA+) people.


The awards ceremony will be at the Shangri-La Hotel in late September

Each year, the Mental Health Matters Awards ceremony celebrates outstanding achievements in mental health. Held at Sydney’s Shangri-La Hotel, it is a wonderful opportunity to meet others and celebrate the work of individuals, groups and organisations that make a difference.


WayAhead is NSW’s leading Mental Health Promotion organisations, with a history dating back over 85 years. WayAhead plays a vital role in the development of mental health initiatives and the provision of information, support and advocacy that increase community awareness and knowledge of mental health issues. WayAhead champions the wellbeing of all people, particularly their mental health and dignity, through education, information, support, and advocacy.
